JxJ, a multidisciplinary arts project that encompasses the Washington Jewish Film and Music Festivals, will organize a screening of the film Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin, followed by a discussion on Thursday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. The Zentrum fir politesch Bildung Foundation, in partnership with Luxembourg Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, Luxembourg Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah and other organizations, will carry out multiple activities from January 17 to February 4, 2022. The ceremony will be recorded and made available on MNR’s YouTube channel on 28 January 2022. Speeches will be made by the mayor, a minister representing the Government, and the president of the local Jewish community. On the same day, one Holocaust survivor and officials will take part in a commemoration ceremony in the town of Esch-sur-Alzette. As part of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27), Luxembourg National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights (MNR) will organize a virtual conference, followed by a discussion on the exhibition “ Between shade and darkness”.
